Alstott to Announce Bucs 2nd-Round Pick

For the fifth year in a row, retired NFL players will announce their former team’s second-round draft pick. For the Buccaneers, that player will be former fullback, Mike Alstott.

Alstott will make the announcement on Friday, May 1 beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University in Chicago.

Alstott played his entire career in Tampa, from 1996 to 2006, and was named to the Pro Bowl six times. He ran for 5,088 yards and 58 touchdowns in his 11-year career.

Last year, Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks announced the Bucs’ second-round pick, which was used on tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins. In 2012, Super Bowl XXXVII MVP Dexter Jackson announced the Bucs’ selection of linebacker Lavonte David.
