In Honor of Veteran's Day, The Mike Alstott Family Foundation had the privilege of hosting a BBQ lunch for the families currently staying at the Tampa Fisher House as well as some of the patients admitted at James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital. Mike also visited with the families, took photos and signed autographs. The Foundation also provided each of the families staying at the Fisher House with a $50 restaurant gift card for future use.
The Tampa Fisher House is "a home away from home" for families of acutely hospitalized veterans and active-duty service members who live more than 50 miles away from the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital. There are a total of fifty-four (54) Fisher Houses located on eighteen (18) military installations and seventeen (17) VA medical centers.
The Mike Alstott Family Foundation would like to extend a big "Thank You" to all veterans and to those currently serving our Country.
