In celebration of Veteran's Day, we had the distinct honor of teaming up with Mike Delancey and his Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch (WWAR) to host a friendly flag football game between local Veterans. Mike served as the “all-time QB” for both teams. After the game, the Veterans and their guests were treated to lunch by Ronnie Pastrami's Deli and enjoyed photographs and autographs with Mike.
The Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch and Park will be built as a place to Honor, Strengthen, and Empower warriors through recreational activities in a safe and reflective environment. It was founded in 2013 by Wounded Warrior Mike Delancey, a Pinellas Park resident who himself was critically injured in a sniper attack during military combat in Iraq and has confronted his own life changing injuries.
Thank you to all of the Veterans that came out today as well as all of those that have served and currently serve our Country. Also a big thank you to Congressman David Jolly for taking the time today to show his support for the game and the participants.
